This beautiful Antique Victorian Albert chain has been crafted in strong 9ct Rose Gold and has a lovely weight to it.
Albert chains were used in the Victorian era to secure a pocket watch against accident or theft by attaching it via the T-bar to the buttonhole of a waistcoat. They were named after Prince Albert, who was Queen Victoria’s consort until his death in 1861.
All the links are solid and durable with a 9ct stamp upon each. It is fitted with a secure ring clasp and trigger clasp which holds it all together.
