A wonderful Antique Victorian guard chain made up of faceted 9ct Yellow Gold cable links which articulate wonderfully together and lead to a large claw clasp at the end which may have been used to attach a pocket watch or a cylinder of fur known as a Muff to keep the wearers hands warm in winter.

It’s a high quality piece and in excellent condition. It can be worn as one long chain or wrapped two to three times around the neck.
